Lift Passes

SBS have secured for our guests a 5% discount from the public price for Lift Passes.

• Lift passes to be booked in advance to secure discounts.
• Reduced rates are available for Children under 14, Adults over 65 and families.
• Under 6s and over 72s pay a nominal fee.

If you are a beginner - unlike some Tour Operators - SBS will not try to sell you an expensive full area pass that allows you to ski the blacks off the glacier! The most practical options are (in order):

1. Without a pass, you will still be able to use the free lifts and pistes in the village.
2. As beginners will be limited on where they can go on their 1st day, a 5 day pass may be more suitable - save the extra expense of a 6 day pass.
3. If you are having lessons, the combined lessons (all day) and lift pass is good value, with up to 30% saving (see Ski & Snowboard Lessons).

If you wish to go off-piste, and do not as yet have Insurance cover for this, SBS recommends Carre Neige, which can be added to the lift pass (£2per day).

Lift Pass Prices

(£GBP, 2007-2008)

• includes 5% discount on public prices for individuals (9% for families)
• includes 3 Euro deposit on Handsfree (Smart) Card, refunded at Lift Pass Office at end of stay

• Under 6-free, and over 72 flat £9 rate for any pass

Equipment Hire

We have had experience of many ski/snowboard hire shops where staff are too busy to wax and edge the equipment - or to replace it when it is past it's useful life. Thus, we have sought a quality ski/snowboard shop in the village. The equipment is serviced after hire and is replaced regularly.

In addition, SBS have secured for our guests:

• 38% discount from the public price of hire of equipment - we aim to match the value of Website Prices
• For those hiring equipment with us, a 10% discount from the purchase of clothing and equipment: skis, boards and boots (purchases over 15 Euros/£10)
• Custom boot-fitting / adjustments available.

Equipment Hire Prices

(£GBP, 2007-2008) including discount on public hire prices.

• The colour reflects the standard of the equipment (and price price level).
• To help decide which kit is suitable, the colour category of the ski represents the colour of the piste the skier would feel confident skiing.

Ski & Snowboard Lessons

There are various options in terms of the Group Lessons that can be taken, dependent on age and ability:

• Group Lessons can be booked for ½ days or full days, for part of the week or for the whole week.
• PACKAGE: 5 sessions of lessons at same time (am/lunch/pm/allday) then session 6 is given free (approx)
• Lessons available each day except Saturday, but include Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday etc. (when not on a Sat.)
• * 2 hours supervision and lunch can be provided (from £23 per day), works either if the lessons are before, or after, lunch.

Notes:

• SKI BEGINNERS any period except pm
• SNOWBOARD LESSONS only ever pm
• PRIVATE LESSONS
  • am / lunch / pm / all day. Limited availability for School Holiday period
  • from £40 per instructor per hour (cost split by No. students)
  • Works best if approximately same standard of student
• NURSERY available, from £27 per half day, £114 for 6 half days. Not provided Sat.
